Fabulous Ferrari 250 GTO "Evocazzione"

There is little introduction required for the Ferrari 250 GTO - it is simply one of the most evocative and sensual shapes of any 1960's road going sports racing cars. The fact that there were so few made means they are now amongst the most expensive motor cars in the world today. Top quality 'Evocations' or "Recreations' of these cars are establishing themselves as the legitimate route into experiencing a real "flavour" of these legends. This example brings affordability into the equation as well as genuine Maranello "DNA" being suffused, as it is with mostly Ferrari parts and a genuine identity.

This particular GTO "copy" came into the UK from The United States destined, sadly, to be grafted to a Nissan/Datsun 260Z. The vendor decided that, as he had an accident damaged Ferrari 400 lying about in his yard,( as you do!), he would be far better served grafting these two together instead. Thus he entrusted the conversion work to a skilled mechanic and the result is a car that carries a legitimate Ferrari log book, Ferrari identity and registration. It has the hugely evocative benefit of a genuine Ferrari V12 under the bonnet and the chassis number and engine numbers all match, albeit it that they were originally part of a handsome Pininfarina designed 4 seat coupe.
