DESCRIPTION

The AC Sociable Cyclecar was produced as a passenger version of the Auto Carrier from 1907 in two versions, a two seat with passenger and driver sitting side by side and a three seat version with the driver sitting behind, at the time it was claimed by AC that the vehicle was very easy to drive and user friendly. In advertisements at the time AC pronounced that the Cyclecar had been designed to be easy to maintain and repair with the engine being able to be removed within 20 minutesApproximately 1800 Cyclecars of this type were produced by AC between 1907 and 1914 powered by 648cc single cylinder air-cooled engine.

This particular example was restored in America in 1998 by a well known AC Collector to Concours condition ; the workmanship of the restoration is to an exceptionally high standard and is finished in a very eye catching yellow livery. Following the restoration the Cyclecar took 1st prize at the Antique Automobile Club of America Hershey Show.

The vehicle subsequently returned to the UK and was kept in a private museum until purchased by the current Owner.Since the vehicle has been in the current Owners possession it has undergone a full mechanical rebuild by a leading Cyclecar expert Michael Penney.

The vehicle is taxed and MOT,d and has a Sunbeam Motorcycle Club dating certificate. The Cyclecar ran in this years Pioneer Run where a faulty battery caused its retirement ( which has subsequently been replaced )

This Cyclecar is great fun to drive, easy to start and must be one of the best examples of any early Thames Ditton AC .Do not miss this opportunity to purchase this outstanding early example of the British car industry...
