During the 1920's Studebaker offered three different six cylinder models up until the introduction of the 'Commander' at the end of 1927. This car is an early GB Commander 'Big Six', powered by a 354 cubic inch (5.8 litre) engine, which gave 75bhp - a significant amount of horse power in 1927. The model was so powerful back in the day, that it took the 15,000 mile speed record in October 1928, averaging an incredible 64.25mph for the distance.

As well as being powerful they were also very well built, rugged cars designed to cope with the poor road quality of the early 20th Century.
