SUMMARY

The Warwickshire Collection - This car has formed part of an extensive collection of British and European Classics and your inspection is encouraged.

DESCRIPTION

  • In recent years, this car has formed part of a large collection and has received little or no use, so an element of recommissioning is to be expected. Some of these cars do start, run and drive. Each car has a condition report, however they are all sold as seen
  • In 1949, Buick's new, family-sized Roadmaster Woodie undoubtedly made a bit of a statement
  • When it comes to 'Woodies', the Roadmaster was the absolute pinnacle of desirability
  • A real head-turning land yacht with one-year only styling for 1949
  • 653 were produced and it's believed only 21 were exported
  • Fitted with the 150bhp Fireball Dynaflash straight-eight coupled to Dynaflow automatic transmission
  • With its first owner, Offield L Herbert in Los Angeles, for an incredible 28 years
  • Subsequently used as VIP transport at a 'Dude' ranch in Arizona
  • The subject of roughly $17,000 spent during 2009/10
  • An element of recommissioning will be required and pre-sale inspections of this substantial piece of Americana are encouraged
