DESCRIPTION

  • 1583cc PV444 with the later 85bhp B16B engine
  • Manufactured in 1957 and used by the Swedish Forestry Commission until 1985
  • Imported into the UK by a Volvo Dealership and remained a showroom car for the next 14 years
  • In 2001 upgraded to the American 08 standard (twin SUs, 4-speed gearbox, unleaded head)
  • Owned and restored by a number of prominent Volvo enthusiasts, winning many shows
  • Fully documented 63,000 miles and history from new, many trophies and associated items
In September 1944, Volvo unveiled a car that was to be the key to its future. The model designation '444' denoted four-cylinders, four seats, and 40hp, and it was to become the mainstay of Volvo's product line until production of the PV-series ended in 1965.

At the time, the reveal of the PV444 was a sign that better days were indeed on the horizon. Featuring a unibody design to reduce weight and boost fuel economy, the first PV444 models were powered by a 1.4-litre overhead-valve four-cylinder engine, rated at the aforementioned 40hp. Our transport partners, EM Rogers, can assist with collection and delivery. Please contact them on

01604 755511 or trafficdesk@emrogers.co.uk for a quote.

Any cars not collected by 3pm on Monday 2nd August will be taken to our EM Rogers storage facility in

Northampton for a fee of £150 plus VAT. Storage will be charged at £10 plus VAT per day from Monday 2nd August onwards.

Motorcycles

Our motorcycle transport partners, Moving Motorcycles, can assist with collection and delivery.

Any motorcycles not collected by 3pm on Monday 2nd August will be taken to our transport partners facility in Northamptonshire for a

fee of £110 plus VAT, including 3 days storage. Storage will be charged at £5 plus VAT per day thereafter.

Automobilia can be collected from The Wing over the weekend or Monday morning between 9am

and midday by prior appointment. After this time it can be collected from our offices in

Warwickshire or shipped to you at your expense.
