DESCRIPTION
- Originally registered in 1961. Based in Cyprus until 1964
- Used up until 1977. In dry storage 2017
- W111 220 SEb 'Fintail' (early injection) with a manual gearbox and sunroof
- Barn find in 2017 and restoration commenced (£20,000 so far)
- So far the work has concentrated on the running gear and engine (see Condition Report)
- Still wearing its factory paint which now requires a refresh
- Every light, switch control functions as it should. Original red rear indicators
- Full service record stamped 42 times right up until 1977 at 83,000 miles
- Original documents and car manuals/booklets are present including the last registration document

Exterior requires some attention although the metalwork is solid. Repairs are already completed on the rear of the front wheel arches.

The interior is clean, everything is original (including the carpets and in its place. The back seat does not even look used, the front seats are untouched and very comfortable. Front belts have been added. Everything is there and complete.

Partial rebuild ensures a solid running engine. The straight-six fuel-injected engine has been checked, the fuel tank cleaned and renovated, new lines and fuel injection renovated and set up by a specialist. Head came off for internal inspection and re-tolerancing. Engine belts and battery renewed.

Restoration includes all brakes and suspension, fuel (early injection) and exhaust systems. Brakes have been fully renovated including new pads, lines and the master cylinder rebuilt. The suspension came apart fully with all new shocks and bushes across the board.
