DESCRIPTION
A bright little Wolseley 1500... The Wolseley 1500 and similar Riley One-Point-Five were produced from 1957 to 1965 and utilised the Morris Minor floor pan, suspension and steering but were fitted with the larger 1489 cc B-Series engine and an MG Magnette gearbox. The two models differed in detail with the Riley the most powerful by nearly 20 hp, having twin SU carburettors. The Wolseley was released in April 1957 and the Riley was launched in November, directly after the 1957 London Motor Show.
The Series II arrived in May 1960, and the most notable external difference was the hidden boot and bonnet hinges. Interior storage was improved with the fitting of a full-width parcel shelf directly beneath the fascia. This 1961 model is the Series II and looks delightful in two-tone Green, having travelled only 58,000 miles which the vendor believes is correct but is not warranted. It has an MoT until December 2016 and is obviously road tax free. This could be a great little entry into classic car ownership.
