Finished in Midnight Blue with Light Grey Hide piped in Blue. A true labour of love carried out over a six-year period by Devon Classic Cars, producing this superbly restored, subtly modified and upgraded Mk2 Jaguar.

This original, right-hand drive, UK example has been restored from a bare shell. After being stripped of every component, the shell was acid dipped, repaired as required, including the doors, wings, sills and crow's feet, before being phosphate treated for added protection and longevity, with the process to this point covering some 350 hours! A further 300 plus hours were then invested in reassembling the car with every component being rebuilt, upgraded or replaced. The suspension was fully rebuilt incorporating adjustable shock absorbers, a Powerlok differential was fitted and the brakes were upgraded using Coopercraft brake calipers and vented discs.

The engine was completely overhauled (full specification in the History File), a 5-speed Getrag gearbox was fitted as was an alternator, high-torque starter motor, stainless steel sports exhaust and power-assisted rack and pinion steering. At the same time, the engine bay was fully detailed and the battery moved to the boot for aesthetic purposes and enhanced weight distribution. Finally, serious attention was paid to the interior, fully retrimmed in light grey hide piped blue, new wool carpets and headlining with all woodwork being restored to a standard rarely achieved. Other less notable but just as important features include the original steering wheel, new 15'' chrome wire wheels with modern tyres, P600 headlights with LED installations and an all original and complete tool kit. The history file accompanying the Jaguar includes a Heritage Trust Certificate together with a breakdown from Devon Classic Cars of the costs and hours involved in the rebuild.

A superb Mk2 3.8 Jaguar that is as clean underneath as it is on top, sensibly modified for modern-day use and enjoyment. Your earliest inspection is encouraged and welcomed.
