1964 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

The Chevrolet Corvette C2 was built between 1963-1967 as a contender in the 'muscle car' battle with Ford. Introducing a new name, "Sting Ray", the 1963 model was the first year a Corvette coupe was made and featured a distinctive tapering rear. The Sting Ray featured hidden headlamps, non-functional hood vents, and independent rear suspension. Power output for 1963 was 360 bhp, which was raised to 375 bhp in 1964. On 1964 models the decorative hood vents were eliminated.

Originally a USA delivered car this low owner 1964 Corvette Stingray has spent much of its life in the UK after being imported in 1983.Following the purchase of the car in 2011 from its previous long-term owner of 30 years, the vendor treated the Sting Ray to an all over refresh. This consisted of a full re-spray in the cars original stunning Silver Blue colour along with all the bright work being re-chromed at the same time.Earlier this year the interior was also renovated and the original blue cloth interior was replaced with fabulous blue leather. Additionally the car also has a matching silver blue hardtop and a new hood. The engine was also subject to attention and it received a thorough service by the vendor shortly after purchase and was recently serviced in April of this year.
