DESCRIPTION

The Cortina was Ford's mass-market compact car and sold extremely well. With variants of the Cortina reaching sales of over one million and each successive model proving more popular than its predecessor. In response to the huge success of the Mini, Ford responded not with a small car but with a larger family offering which they could sell in large numbers. The result was the Cortina; a distinctively styled car aimed at buyers of the Morris Oxford and Vauxhall Victor, and 5 LHD car._x000D_

Much money spent last 2 years: timing chain, all hoses (MB), reconditioned radiator, water pump, metering units (huge rise in mpg). Stored in an air chamber in garage. Most, if not all paperwork from new. Original Becker radio. orilaunched on 20 September 1962. With eye-catching modern styling, it was originally branded as the Consul Cortina until a modest facelift in 1964, after which it was sold simply as the Cortina.

We are informed by the vendor ginal tags. 2 keys. Electric roof, windows, PAS. _x000D_

In fact it's the Jmaes Corden car from advert, even the colour. So, what's it worth?_x000D_

that this is an older restoration car that remains in very good order throughout, this is a very very early car identified by its Consul badging or often referred to as the 'Pre air flow' model, a very rare car that began a motoring Dynasty.
