DESCRIPTION

This was the first car to embrace Felix Wankel's revolutionary engine. NSU installed a single-rotor version in a Sport-Prinz in 1964, creating the Wankel Spider. More than 2,000 were built in three years.

This car is one of those first-generation Wankels. According to the NSU Owner's Club, chassis number 5602463 was believed to have been originally delivered to Italy. The paint is very good order and the inner wings and boot floor are in excellent condition and would suggest that this car has been restored at some point, however, there is no paperwork to support this. The original vinyl seats present well and the chrome is also in good condition. Buyers should be aware that this lot has formed part of a large private collection and has been stood for some time in a heated environment, as such, some remedial works may be required. The registration of this car will need to be applied for by the new owner and it is to be sold on the bill of sale only.

Reading only 38,059 kilometres on the odometer and supplied with an original NSU Spider owner's handbook, this extremely attractive and rare little car will make a fine addition to any collection.
