DESCRIPTION

Austin Healey 3000 Mark III Series BJ8 in Colorado Red…..Launched in October 1963 The Mark III remained in production until the end of 1967. Classified as the BJ8, the new model was the most powerful and luxurious of the "Big Healeys', with a walnut-veneer dash, wind-up windows, and a 150bhp engine. Improvements to the engine included a new camshaft and valve springs, and twin SU 2"" HD8 carburettors, together with a new design of exhaust system. Servo-assisted brakes were now fitted as standard.

Built on 29th April 1966, this Healey is an original UK car and has covered 102,000 miles in the hands of its two owners. Our vendor, who bought the car in 2002, is its second keeper and he tells us that ""it's not restored but well maintained and serviced and in reasonable condition for its age. It's a good car, runs well – garaged for at least the last 14 years. Good weather use only. Probably no more than 2,000 miles per annum. The hood is in good condition – it was replaced together with the rear screen when I bought the car in 2002. The rear screen is clear and unscratched. The front windscreen was also replaced at the same time"". A new battery and five new tyres were fitted in 2015, it's MoTd until July 2016 and has a Heritage Certificate. A really 'honest' Healey 3000.
