1966 Ford Mustang 289 2+2 Fastback

The Mighty Mustang... This is the 'must have' model, the 289 V8 Fastback with the desirable 'four on the floor' manual gearbox. Originating from the States naturally, this 2+2 Fastback has been subject to a very, very serious restoration. The car has had new wings, rear quarters, doors, and floors prior to being carefully prepared and finished in a number of coats of Sauterne Gold. The engine has been rebuilt along with the gearbox and the whole car is now about as good as your going to find.ncluding radio etc. £8k in receipts for rebuild.Along with the bodywork and the mechanicals, the interior has also been the subject to the same attention to detail and has had new seat covers, carpets, headlining and all the interior brightwork finished to the same standard as the external paintwork. The car has had two upgrades, one being a full disc brake conversion and secondly the radiator has been replaced with an aluminium one for better cooling. Should the lucky new owner want to revert back to the old set up then the components will be available.Underneath, the car is apparently as good as the top, and has been finished to a very high standard and it sits on re-finished steel sports wheels fitted with period tyres.
