1966 Lamborghini 1R

Lamborghini Trattori was founded in 1948 and were well-known for the production of not just tractors, but also of military and industrial engines. The company grew quickly, developing many specialized models and becoming one of the largest agricultural manufacturers in Italy. Details of Sig. Lamborghini's tractor production are usually just a side note to the stories surrounding the 400 GT, Miura, Countach etc. however, he was, in fact, a very successful industrialist and the tractors that bear his name are still in production today.

The 1R model is powered by a twin cylinder, air cooled diesel engine, producing 32bhp at 1,500rpm fed through a four-speed gearbox with high and low diff settings, and had hydraulic rear brakes.

This Lamborghini 1R Tractor is presented in truly remarkable condition having recently had a top to bottom, nut and bolt restoration completed by Ermes Formilan in Italy, a world-renowned restorer of Lamborghini tractors. Largely original and correct, the 1R comes with its original Italian registration showing it was manufactured on the 7th of July 1966.

The agricultural cousin of the Muria and 400GT the 1R is a must-have feature vehicle for any collector or enthusiast, a great example of where it all began for the brand. Alternatively, with the PTO at the back, it"s a very practical proposition for anyone who might want to put it to use on a smallholding or around the farm.
