This striking Escort has been expertly converted to historic rally specification using all new or rebuilt parts.The shell is professionally bare-metal restored and painted in immaculate Ermine white paintwork. It has received Type 49 strengthening, is fully firewalled with chrome quarter bumpers and laminated screen.The powerplant is courtesy of a rebuilt SE Twin Cam, balanced, and sporting rebuilt DCOE 40 Webers with 32mm chokes, Lucas electronic ignition, uprated water pump with toothed drive, new radiator with electric fan and 2.25" twin box Ashley exhaust. Transmission is a rebuilt 2000E box with Tran X LSD, new 3.7 CWP and new concentric clutch. Suspension includes World Cup cross member, roller top mounts, strut tension kit, high ratio rack, CD6 springs, adjustable track control arms (with standard TCAs as spares), AVO shocks and polybushed. Safety equipment includes new Willans harnesses, new full OMP cage with door bars, new Cobra FIA seats, navigator foot brace and hand-held OMP extinguisher.
