DESCRIPTION
The Ford Capri was a dominant force in saloon car racing during the early 70's, driven by legends such as Gordon Spice, Stuart Graham and Brian Muir. Easily adapted and set up for racing, it was a popular choice for the professional and club driver alike.
This car is a Ford Capri Mk1 running to Group 1 spec, built by Alan Daffin in 2004. It has raced successfully at most British tracks and has journeyed abroad to Spa, where it has won its class twice with a best lap of 3mins 4 secs.Featuring a 3.1 litre Essex engine, Quaife four speed straight cut gearbox and a Quaife LSD, the car has been professionally prepared with a fully welded cage, Recaro race seat and harness with Gaz dampers and Willwood six pot brakes. Running on original Ford RS wheels and complete with a long range foam filled fuel tank, the car has had 4 recent outright wins and numerous class wins in Masters 70's saloons, CTCRC and Motor Racing Legends Classic Racing Car Club.
It remains eligible and competitive, with 2 class wins in 2012 - driven by Mike Freeman and our vendor, the legendary Denis Welch of Healey fame.
Great performance and fun for the money at the price range offered today, the Lot includes a set of wheels and wet tyres and is sold ready to race.

Motor vehicles
Vehicles can be collected from The Wing on Monday 2nd August between 9am and 3pm.
Our transport partners, EM Rogers, can assist with collection and delivery. Please contact them on
01604 755511 or trafficdesk@emrogers.co.uk for a quote.
Any cars not collected by 3pm on Monday 2nd August will be taken to our EM Rogers storage facility in
Northampton for a fee of £150 plus VAT. Storage will be charged at £10 plus VAT per day from Monday 2nd August onwards.
Motorcycles
Our motorcycle transport partners, Moving Motorcycles, can assist with collection and delivery.

Any motorcycles not collected by 3pm on Monday 2nd August will be taken to our transport partners facility in Northamptonshire for a
fee of £110 plus VAT, including 3 days storage. Storage will be charged at £5 plus VAT per day thereafter.
Automobilia
Automobilia can be collected from The Wing over the weekend or Monday morning between 9am
and midday by prior appointment. After this time it can be collected from our offices in
Warwickshire or shipped to you at your expense.
