SUMMARY
In 1970, ownership of a Capri 3000E meant that you had definitely "arrived".
DESCRIPTION
- Launched in 1970, the Capri 3000E (along with the 3000GT) was advertised as 'the fastest production line cars ever to be sold by Ford in Britain'
- They were powered by a 3-litre, 12 valve V6 producing 138bhp and offering 0-60 in 8.4 seconds and 122mph
- This particular example has benefitted from a full engine re-build with unleaded heads, full Ashley exhaust system and an aluminium high-volume radiator
- The dashboard has been professionally restored and a new carpet set fitted
- Good history file which includes many earlier MOTs, some old invoices, an owners manual and some old V5s
- 3000E Mk1 Capris make a superb classic car and rarely come to the open market. This well restored, Aubergine example in excellent condition with its rebuilt engine is likely to prove a sound investment and provide 'free' classic motoring for years to come
