1970 Volkswagen Camper

The VW Camper has evolved something of a Cult status, to the point where brand new ones are now being supplied to the market for sums up to £30,000. Always associated with "surfers" these vans are still a most practical "classic" proposition, and with many active and highly supportive clubs, you could be off doing something every weekend with perfect peace of mind as regards spares supply and mechanical back-up.

The example on offer here is a fine right hand drive 1970 VW Devon tourvette camper. Having covered 78k miles from new, it is being sold by only it's 3rd owner. (The second of which was the vendor's Father!)

This superb example has had a full nut and bolt restoration. It is finished in the period correct Savanah Beige and has been enhanced with subtle features such as the stylish Porsche 356 wheels; most practical disc brakes, a 2:1 Type 4 engine with upright fan, electronic egnition, external oil cooler, and 40 webbers carbs (all perfectly detailed).

All interior furniture is original and has been rehinged and varnished. The interior features items of note such as a swingout cooker, larder/fridge, double bed, pop-up top and two bunks.

The seats, door panels, etc. have all been re-upholstered to an extremley high specification which has even covered the fitment of a period correct NOS Blaupunkt radio!
