DESCRIPTION
A striking 1973 BMW 2002 Baur Targa in Inca Orange. 'Karosserie Baur' have been building BMW convertibles since the thirties, but the '2002' model was the first time they had used a 'targa' style. The Baur cabriolets preceded the factory convertibles and are more sought after as they were, effectively, hand built. The mileometer on this car reads 38,000 miles which we are, at this moment, unable to substantiate however the vendor believes this may be genuine as he has in his possession a handwritten journal from the car's first owner documenting every journey. We are told this rare right hand drive car was recommissioned around two years ago at a cost of circa £5,000. This car has had only four registered owners from new and is sensibly guided. BMW 2002s are fun to drive and the convertible particularly so and this neat little 70's drop-top in its bright period colour scheme will make an ideal Summer classic
