SUMMARY

The original 'Superbike' with just 62,000 km from new and offered at No Reserve!

DESCRIPTION

In 1968 Honda introduced their revolutionary CB 750 Four and changed motorcycle history forever

  • It featured an inline-four with four carburettors, four exhaust pipes, a five-speed gearbox, an electric starter, and for the first time on a production bike, a hydraulic front disc brake
  • Finished in metallic red, this original bike was imported from Sweden in 2017 with just 62,000 km from new
  • It's now UK registered with all import taxes paid and is supplied with its UK V5c, some service records and an original owners manual
  • Although in excellent condition, it may need some light recommissioning prior to use
  • The Honda CB 750 Four was the first motorcycle to be known as a superbike which rather confirms its place in history as a legendary motorbike. It started a trend of high-performance bikes which featured a transverse overhead camshaft inline 4 cylinder engine and introduced some unique ideas at the time such as an electric starter, a kill switch, dual mirrors and flashing indicators on both sides.

It was the bike that most significantly cemented Honda as one of the world’s biggest producers of high-performance mainstream motorcycles with total production figures running into hundreds of thousands by production end.

This particular 1974 version of the legendary CB 750 comes sadly from a deceased estate. It was acquired in 2017 from Direct Classic Imports Ltd of Worcestershire for £7,500 as an original version that had recently been imported from Sweden. The bike is showing just 62,000 Kilometres from new and is clearly in excellent condition all round.

It has had all UK taxes paid and is now registered in the UK and has not been used in 2019, so may need some light recommissioning prior to use. Finished in the smart colour of red metallic it comes with a UK V5c, some service records and an original owners manual.
