DESCRIPTION

The MGB GT V8 was introduced in 1973 utilising the popular and relatively advanced aluminium block Rover 3500 V8 engine that was capable of producing 137bhp with a significant 193lbs.ft of torque. This propelled the car from 0-60mph in 8 seconds and gave a top speed of over 125mph. Production ended in 1976, with just over 2,500 cars made in total, making this one of the rarest post war MG's.

Our car has had only two previous owners. One of which was the well-known MG racing driver, Mike Breedon who used it as his road car. The car is very original and is well known in MG circles as it has the unique number plate "35 BGT' . It will be sold with this license plate, though considerable offers have been made to the vendor for the plate alone!

The upgrades to the car include electronic ignition, stainless tubular exhaust manifolds and a stainless steel exhaust system (both of which help to give the car a fantastic soundtrack). This MG is currently sitting on racing Minilite wheels to protect the distinctive and very precious V8 originals, but these will be sold with the car, and again carry a value of more than £2,500 in their own right...
