1974 Porsche 914 2.0 5 speed

The Porsche 914 is a mid-engined, Targa-topped 2 seat Roadster, designed by Porsche and sold between 1969 and 1976. Offered as a 1700 4 cylinder (80 bhp), 2.0 litre 4 cylinder (100bhp), or the rarer 2.0 litre 6 cylinder giving 110 bhp.

This particular car was manufactured in 1974 as a 2.0 litre, 4 cylinder car and still has the original engine, which was re-built prior to the car being imported from the USA in 2005. This engine re-build included new heads, line boring the crankcase, new flat top pistons, new bearings, a new Raby 73 higher lift cam and GE Lifters - all work carried out by Porsche SHC Florida who also gave the engine bay full detailing whilst the engine was removed. Offered from a deceased estate, the owner had an admirable small collection of different and eclectic Porsche motorcars and this car was his favourite and regular drive.

Having been repainted in its original Phoenix Red colour scheme at some stage in it's life, the car has no underlying corrosion issues being solid and rust free, benefitting from a complete quality re-trim of the seats in black leather, a new headlining and new carpets.
