1975 Porsche 911 Targa S

A freshly restored, matching numbers, 1975 Porsche 911 S, 68,789 miles. An original UK, right hand drive car presented in its correct factory colour of Mexico Blue, which was quite a rare colour for a car of this era.

The build date as confirmed by its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity is 1974 with the car being subsequently first registered in the UK in February 1975.

The vendor advises that when he purchased the car it had a couple of oil leaks from the engine and was in need of some paint work. We are told subsequently the engine was taken out, and reconditioned with all the seals, bearings, timing chains and gaskets replaced. At the time, the bodywork was not in the best of condition, having had a poor quality paint job done by a previous owner. The previous owner informed the current vendor that when he purchased the car it was Metallic Grey. Once he received the Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche he is said to have found the cars original colour to be Mexico Blue and decided to return the car to that colour and during the process any bodywork imperfections were professionally dealt with by Colourkraft Automotive Refinishing. All the glass is said to be original, as is the brightwork which has been re-chromed where necessary.

The vendor states he has paperwork for works carried out from April 1988 to present and MoTs from 1995. The mileage on 04-1988 was 35,123 and today it's 68,789. The car's current MoT ran out on 05-2015, but the car has been off the road during its recent restoration and will have an MoT ready for the auction.
