DESCRIPTION

The lovely Rover P6 3500 S. The letter ""S"" was chosen to denote ""Synchromesh"" as this model came with a four-speed manual gearbox (a modified version used in the 2000/2200).

The 3500 S was noticeably quicker than the automatic version of the car with the 0-60 time coming in at 9s as opposed to 10.1 for the standard car. The fuel consumption was also improved over the automatic model.

This example was first registered on the 19th July 1976. The vendor has ownerd it since 1997, with only 3 former keepers.

It has covered only 77,000 miles.

A previous owner was Dr Michael Beetham of Milton Keynes who founded the P6 owners club.

This car was fully restored 15 years ago (having only covered a few hundred miles since). The restoration included new body panels, new brightwork and a full re-spray. The engine was re-built with new pistons, hydraulic valve lifters, new timing chain and sprockets. The gear-box was also re-built and a new clutch fitted. New shocks, brakes (including hoses) and front wheel bearings were also all replaced.

The car has the desiarble power steering option.

It comes with its original toolkit and handbook.

It comes with a 12 month MOT.
