1977 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0

Anyone interested in purchasing an older 911 will have a good idea of how these iconic cars developed over the years, so we will concentrate on this particular car.Originally supplied on the 23rd of June in 1977 by Charles Follett Ltd. of Berkeley Square this is one of only 3400 Carrera Sports built, and is very rare in right hand drive. Finished in its original Grand Prix White with the signature black Carrera stripes, it has a factory electric sunroof, electric windows, correct Fuchs alloys, a model correct rubber rear spoiler, green tinted windows and a rear wiper.

The vin number and engine number match the records in the original service book and the odometer indicates just over 100,000 miles which is supported by an extensive service and maintenance record file. It appears that this 911 has covered less than 5000 miles in the last 10 years and has been unused for the last 3. The Porsche service book remains in its original burgundy wallet. The maintenance history makes mention of a top end rebuild with a new clutch, injectors and gearbox overhaul being done at circa 77,000 miles and the engine certainly sounds sweet but, having been unused for 3 years, a full service would be advisable. A 12 month MOT has recently been issued.

It's great that the car still wears its original Grand Prix White and, although the paintwork has some flaws, it's absolutely fine for use now or it can be painted at some point in the future should you wish. The interior is in black and very tidy.

Altogether a quick, attractive and very rare 70's Porsche.
