Perfect for luxury grand-touring on the continent...As the car of choice for the ""global elite"", the Corniche convertible had a waiting list of two years when new and was one of the most expensive production cars of the era. In February 1977, the Corniche was heavily revised, with the most obvious changes being the split level automatic air conditioning and the rubber-faced bumpers from the Shadow II. Mechanically, the biggest improvement was the fitting of rack and pinion steering replacing the old recirculating ball setup.The next big change was to mirror the Shadow's replacement, the Silver Spirit, receiving that car's new rear suspension and mineral oil hydraulics in 1979, a year prior to its launch. Now recognised as the most stylish of 'boulevardiers', the imposing Corniche with its unparalleled luxury and silky smooth 6.8 litre V8, is held in high regard by even the most discerning of enthusiasts.

This left-hand drive, early, Corniche Convertible was first registered in the UK in 2015, and shows a mere 45,000 kilometres or 27,961 miles.
