DESCRIPTION

Just 3,010 miles... and the very last 96 V4 made for the UK market.

This important 1978 Saab 96L 'Souvenir' V4 is No 150 of the last No 150 right-hand drive Model 96 V4 produced for G.B. with a certificate present from Saab themselves to confirm this.

It has only covered a mere 3,000 miles since new in total, with the present vendor enjoying a pleasurable 1,000 miles of these. The Saab 96 was legendary for its strength & design were well highlighted by International Rally successes in the hands of the recently late great Eric Carlsson.'

This Saab 96L 'Souvenir' V4 is described as not a restored car but factory original. The underside is said to be as clean as the top! The Cardinal Red paint colour was unique to this last UK batch of cars. New tyres matching the original spec were fitted last year as the original tyres were displaying light cracks. A new (old stock) exhaust was fitted about two years ago.

Said to drive perfectly with everything working, including its free-wheel, as it should. The vendor enthusiastically informs us it has also won Club show awards on its rare outings.

This car has been residing in Ireland for the last couple of years and is currently Irish registered, so it will need a fresh UK MoT certificate and NOVA form filling in, ready for it to be re-registered in the UK. The vendor thinks that its original reg (UKU 96S) may well be available from the DVLA.
