SUMMARY

A very desirable, early example of a Mk3 2-litre S restored to a very high standard and well presented in Cosmos Blue.

DESCRIPTION

  • Found in a collapsing barn in an orchard in Somerset in poor order. The length of time it had been stored meant it was very original including matching numbers engine and etched glass with correct registration.
  • One of the first Mk3 Capris and in the rare Cosmos Blue
  • Subject to a full ground-up, bare shell restoration in 2017 to 2019 and very few miles since
  • From our vendor "I wanted everything on the car to be perfect and as close to factory as possible so we had the difficult task of trying to find items no longer made but in perfect condition, this included an un-cracked dashboard (rare), an immaculate set of unfaded and unworn Carla check seats (almost impossible) even down to the black vinyl door cards (£750 alone) and short console black carpet"
  • Further details of this comprehensive restoration are on the Condition Report
  • The original registration is EDD 221T (this is on all the glass) but it currently wears and will be sold with the cherished number, CAP 20S
  • Indicating 22,564 miles (unwarranted). The car will undergo a recommissioning service and a fresh MOT before the sale
