The Ford Escort Mark II was manufactured from 1975-1980 under several guises. As well as the mainstream private sector, the "Sport", "RSMexico", and "RS2000" were manufactured to sell in the performance market, particularly rallying where its predecessor had proven very capable. With the limelight usually focused on the sportier models, it is most unusual to find any standard road-cars that have never been restored or apparently never seen rain.

This Ford Escort 1.6 Ghia was supplied new by C.D.Bramall in Warrington on 27th November 1980. With only 1 owner from new, this timewarp example must be the lowest mileage example left in existence. Supplied with its original purchase invoice that states the car was sold for £4165.91, by 1987 the car had only travelled 111 Miles, by 1989 it had travelled just 2,843 miles and today the car has now travelled a total of just 3,243 miles in 35 years.

Finished in Diamond White with chocolate velour, the interior is in as new condition with no sagging or sun damage and it still smells new. The car has been protected from the elements over the years and stored in a heated garage all of its life. It is decribed by the vendor as in: "100% original and perfect as new condition, with its original tyres still fitted from new, and an unused spare wheel and tyre."

The car was heavily Waxoyled when new to protect all vital areas prone to rust on Mk2 Escorts. This car still carries its wax oil, which in some areas, especially the engine bay, can look a little untidy. A small area around the chassis number on the inner wing has been removed to demonstrate just how good the car is under the wax oil. The next owner may wish to remove it but the vendor likes it just the way it is.
