Porsche has amassed quite an impressive trophy case in just about every racing series it has ever entered, and one of its most dominant machines has to be the 911 RSR from the 1970s. Taking part in various GT-class competitions, the 911 RSR managed to take home three international and seven German victories in 1973, its very first year of competition.

This superb tribute to the fabled 911 RSR has been built to an exceptionally high standard by Bailey Edwards Motorsport in 2013-14 in South Africa. The build costs were estimated to be in excess of £150,000 and the base vehicle chosen for this project was a 1980 911 SCR chassis. The engine is a 964 unit with 3.8 Wustner Pistons and sleeves, the gearbox is a G50 unit with Haggot shifter, and there are numerous other high-quality racing modifications. When completed, this superbly prepared car enjoyed some success in various club events in South Africa.
