SUMMARY
Superbly presented T25 Camper fresh from £35,000 worth of professional restoration.
DESCRIPTION
- As a spiritual successor to the 'Bay', the Type 25 Camper (T3) marked quite a departure visually, being wider and longer with a bigger glass area and considerably boxier
- This is an original UK-supplied, right-hand drive Camper that was manufactured in 1980 and first registered on 29/01/1982
- Powered by a 1,970cc, 70bhp, air-cooled flat-four with twin Solex 34 PDSIT-2/3 carburettors
- This superb example has benefited from a £35,000 professional full-body (documented and invoiced) restoration carried out under the instruction of our vendors by a respected Volkswagen Specialist. Completed in July 2024
- In our vendor's words 'Full body restoration, all rusted panels repaired or replaced. Total respray. All seals replaced. New HiTop. New electric hook up to rear. All mechanicals refreshed and in excellent working order. Full details and photographic documentation available to inspect at the Auction'
- Supplied with detailed invoices relating to the work carried out. Too much to list here but some of it can be seen in the 'Condition Report'
- With 'Splitty' values having gone stratospheric and Bays following closely, inevitably their successor, the Type 25, will follow suit making this recently restored example seem very sensibly estimated
