1981 Porsche 911 SC Ferry Porsche Special Edition Coupe

Ferdinand Alexander Porsche was the grandson of company founder Ferdinand Porsche and son of Ferry Porsche, who sadly passed away on April 5th 2012. During his lifetime he created the iconic 911 model which was to become the cornerstone of the Porsche company for the next 4 decades and the most successful sportscar ever produced.

At the end of 1981/beginning of 1982, Porsche decided to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Porsche Design Company by Ferdinand Porsche senior in Stuttgart in 1931, by producing a worldwide limited run of just 200 versions of the Porsche 911 SC, to be known as the '911 SC Ferry Porsche Special Edition Coupe'. Only 200 were built and they were not supplied to the UK, just the 'Rest of World' markets. They featured unique seats with Ferry Porsche's autograph on the headrest, a unique body colour (code 961), painted 7JX15 and 8Jx15 Fuchs wheels fitted with Pirelli 185/70UVR1S and 215/66/VR15 tyres.

This car was delivered on the 23/11/1981, as a 1982 model, direct to Hong Kong and is thought to be one of only 2 original right hand drive versions.

Finished in Meteor Grey with a special burgundy and grey pinstripe berber interior with cut pile burgundy velour carpets. The car also had a Ferry Porsche 'autograph' embossed in the headrests, and has since covered just 41,000 miles from new with a comprehensive service history. Imported into the UK by a then director of the 'Next' clothing brand in the early 90's, the car has since been in private ownership, with just 4 previous registered keepers. The car has not been restored or repainted and is offered in highly original order with a full 12 months M.O.T.
