DESCRIPTION
- Ford have never been slow when it comes to developing sporting versions of their standard cars but surprisingly, it took nearly six years before a genuine performance version of their little Fiesta was added to the range
- The XR2 was the result and 84bhp, 0-60 in 9.3 seconds and 105 mph turned the 1.6-litre 'Hot' Fiesta into an instant success
- This nicely original 1983 Mk1 spent some time in Northern Ireland before returning to England in 2017
- It was subsequently purchased by a film and television car hire company to use as an authentic prop in a couple of 1980s period productions
- Finished in Strato Silver, it sports the correct black and orange stripe side decals, original light grey with blue and red stripe cloth interior and period correct alloy wheels
- Indicating 73,615 miles at the time of cataloguing, it was last serviced in December 2021 at 73,203 miles and the MOT is valid until December 2023 and was issued with no advisories
