1984 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Targa

For the 1984 model year Porsche decided to revive the Carrera name with the introduction of the 3.2litre engine. The new 911 3.2 Carrera had revised body styling, improved brakes and numerous improvements over the outgoing SC range. With 230bhp now available, a 0-60 time of 5.4 seconds and a top speed of 150mph it was very quick. Even so Autocar Magazine were able to constantly better the factory's conservative performance figures.

Finished in Zinc Metallic with Blue pinstripe interior this Carrera Targa has the most comprehensive service history. Originally supplied by Dick Lovett of Wiltshire there are twenty five stamps in the service book. It also appears to have a Porsche Lifetime Guarantee of Repair to the bodywork carried out in 2002!

This is just a four owner car from new, the last owner having cherished this Targa since 1994. All expenditure, MoT's and services are logged, accounting for the 100,000miles and nineteen years in this ownership. This is a very genuine Carrera Targa and with the 911 in its fiftieth anniversary year, it is a potentially cost effective way to enjoy the celebrations. It would not look out of place at any high profile function or venue, and is in our opinion finished in the best colour combination.
