SUMMARY
Fresh from an eight-year restoration and painted to match our vendor's 1960 Aston Martin DB4.
DESCRIPTION
- First registered on 27/11/1986 and purchased by our vendor in 2015 as a project car
- Stripped to bare metal and repainted in the same shade of blue as his 1960 Aston Martin DB4
- After being rebuilt by Hurley Engine Services, the 1,275cc engine from our vendor’s Mini GT was installed. Requires 'running-in' prior to a 500 mile service
- The newly-fitted Oxley bucket front seats were trimmed in blue leather and the interior finished with high quality materials
- The restoration was completed in 2023 and we understand represented an investment of around £10,000
- Offered at No Reserve due to a 2005 DVLA marker, understood to be from an insurance payout after the car was stolen in-period but later recovered
- Presented to auction with a current V5C, receipted history file and an odometer reading of 49,776 at the time of cataloguing

Remarks
Found in a garage in the late 2000s it was bought by our vendor's mechanic initially who then sold it to our vendor and the mechanic's restoration took 10 years and cost £10,000. In 2005 it recieved a scrapped marker and our vendor notes that the body work, once stripped back, to bare metal showed no damage and concludes the insurance paid out when it was stolen. The V5C is in our vendor's name. Although insured under our vendor's multi-car policy some insurers may impose a higher premium or refuse to insure the car and therefore all parties must check with their insurers before bidding.
