1987 Chevrolet Corvette

The Chevrolet Corvette (C4) was produced from 1984 through 1996. The editors of Consumer Guide stated: "The first fully redesigned Corvette in 15 years was more sophisticated and more practical than the beloved Shark. Like previous generations, the new C4 only got better in time." The fourth generation Corvette won its own loyal following as one of the world's most desirable sports cars.

The C4 represented a clean break from the previous generation of Corvette with a completely new chassis and modern, sleeker styling. The primary design emphasis, at least for the launch, was on handling. The price of this no-holds-barred emphasis on handling was ride comfort. The C4 did not use separate body-on-frame construction like its predecessors. Instead, it used what GM termed a "uniframe", which consisted of a traditional perimeter frame, with the door posts, windshield frame, halo, and the rear portion of the floor pan integrated into one welded assembly.

This great example on offer was imported in to the UK in 2000 and has had just 1 owner prior to our vendor. Showing just 23,000 miles the car is in fantastic condition as can be seen in the full service history.

Benefitting from an interior refresh with the 6 way passenger and driver seats being recovered in 2011 and new carpets fitted in 2010. The car is fitted with the removable roof panels and also is being sold with two original targa tops finished in black and bronze.

Presented with the car is a great history file that includes the original owner manuals, original Michigan plates along with past invoices for the car.
