DESCRIPTION

The car you always promised yourself...the Capri 280 'Brooklands'. In order to use their remaining 1,038 Capri shells, Ford decided to build a batch of 2.8litre, Capri 280s all painted in that super shade of Brooklands Green with grey leather seating piped in red. Although never officially called 'Brooklands' by Ford they have become known by the paint colour and are now getting hard to find. Our immaculately presented 1987 car, has travelled a mere 60,000 miles in its life, confirmed by the accompanying MoTs. There is a huge history file dating back over its lifetime and the current owner informs us that the bodywork is still in its original state and has not had any replacement panels over its twenty-nine years.

This car is number 439 of the build and has all of its original features including the Ford Radio/Cassette with a working electric ariel. The car is free from the usual Capri issues, an un-cracked dash, working two-speed heater fan and the all important hard to find, rear parcel shelf in excellent condition.

This 280 has all of its original dealer book packs and was supplied new by Cordiners Ford of Aberdeen and a Cordiner family member was the first registered keeper of D111 XSA. Today, 'Fast Fords' of the 80s and 90s are big news and Brooklands Capris are becoming rarer by the week, and so this four owner car is a treat.
