The E24 was a worthy successor to the previous E9 3.0 CSi coupé. It was built between 1976 and early 1989 with the inevitable mechanical development but no major external changes. The distinctive 'shark nose' of the E24 is still a thing of beauty even now, and no BMW has ever been so distinctive or so elegant, a balance that the following 8-Series and later tery and it fired up first try, tyres required walls gone.6-Series failed to attain. Towards the end of production, the emphasis changed to luxury with the introduction of the 'Highline' interior option from mid-1987, and this included hand-stitched Nappa leather on the seats, door panels, centre console, glove box, roof lining, sun visors, door pillars, upper door trim and dashboard.

This high specification car is supplied with a large history file which includes 20 previous MoT certificates, invoices and receipts for around £3,000 spent since April 2013 by the current owner, original BMW service booklet showing 20 stamps, pre-delivery, running in, BMW Oil Service, BMW Inspection and BMW Annual Check.
