1988 Ferrari 412 Coupe

The Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 was introduced in 1976 as the successor to the rather larger 365 GT 2+2. With its much sleeker looks the Ferrari 365, also designed by Pininfarina, remained in production with very few styling changes until 1989. It had proved to be a great success for the company. The 412 was introduced in 1985 and this was technically a much improved and modernised version of the classic design, whilst still retaining a timeless and most elegant shape. With a displacement of nearly 5 litres, the V12 engine now produced a healthy 340 hp and ABS was available for the first time in a Ferrari. The Ferrari 412i is the ultimate version of the 400-series four-seat Grand Touring cars and remains highly respected for its performance, luxury and ease of operation.

"F328 OYP" was built in 1988 and is one of only 306 right hand drive models that were produced and presents exceptionally well in its original combination of Agrento Metallic Silver with Navy Blue leather.

The car has been well maintained in its life as the original service book, which can be found in the original brown leather wallet, will verify detailing stamped records with Maranello of Egam to 2001 and 63,752 miles. In the past 13 years the car has only covered a further 8500 miles to show a total of 72,271 and service receipts in the file show that Graypaul Ferrari worked on the car at 70,333 miles. The exterior of the car shows no signs of rust, damage or dents and the paintwork is bright and original. Inside the blue leather has never been colonised and in fine condition with no rips or tears. The carpets mirror the condition of the rest of the car being in excellent form.

This hugely underrated V12 Ferrari drives very well, the engine is smooth and gearbox selection is clean and shows no evidence of anything being untoward. A rare model that is surely destined to appreciate in the near future and one of this quality would be a wise buy for investment.
