1988 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera

With the 911's future ensured, 1984 saw the launch of a replacement for the successful SC series. It was the model year 1984 911 3.2 Carrera, reviving the Carrera name for the first time since 1977. The 911 3.2 Carrera was the last iteration in the original 911 series, with all subsequent models featuring new body styling with new brake, electronic and suspension technologies.Offered here is a truly stunning example in brilliant Guards Red, which was registered in the UK on the 1st May 1988 and shows 95,814 on the odometer.

It has covered only 250 miles since an extensive overhaul by the current owner. The engine was removed to allow for a full rebuild which included new crankshaft bearings, timing chains, barrels and pistons. The cylinder heads were also overhauled and new valves, guides, rockers and ancillary parts fitted. A new 3 piece clutch and exhaust were also fitted prior to re installation.

While the engine was out the under body and inner arches were professionally painted and the original "Fuchs" alloys reconditioned to an as new standard. The brakes were not overlooked during this time either; the calipers were reconditioned and fitted with new front and rear discs and pads.
