This Mercedes is really is in superb order throughout, the front wings (a known weak spot on the R129 range) are in superb original order on both sides, all panels are reassuringly symmetrical with perfect original panel fit throughout. The correct alloy wheels are similarly unblemished and the factory hard top locks and unlocks without fault. Likewise we are advised the folding electric roof mechanism works perfectly as does all electrical switches and gauges including the original Blaupunkt stereo unit.

This SLs interior bears witness to its very low mileage, it's superbly preserved, there are no rips, tears or stains on the green leather seating, the carpets show no signs of wear and the instrument fascia is perfectly preserved. With fewer than 30,000 miles on the clock from new, everything on the drive train is taut as you would expect. The vendor informs us that the car drives without fault; all gauges indicate all is well at normal working temperature and the automatic gearbox provides faultless gear changes throughout the drive.

This Mercedes 300 SL 24V is in amazing condition and with a very low mileage to boot is difficult to fault, it merely needs using and enjoying on a regular basis, but equally we suspect this car may end up in a private collection.
