1992 Mini Moke 1380

The design rights to the infamous Mini Moke were acquired by the Portugese company, Moke Automobili SPA (part of the Cagiva Group) in the early 1990s and distributed in the UK by Duncan Hamilton and Co. Ltd. of Bagshot, Surrey.

This Moke comes with it's original sales brochure and was acquired from Duncan Hamilton's by the current vendor in June 2003. Not content with having a standard car, the vendor started to personalise the already smart machine by removing all 4 seats and having them reupholstered in black hide with red 'Moke' motifs as well as having 5 Superlight model Hilite wheels fitted with 175/50/R13 tyres, wheel arch extensions, MG Metro 4 piston calipers with front disc brakes and drums to the rear.

Having improved the interior, brakes and handling, the standard 998cc engine was then exchanged for a 1380cc higher performance Mini engine and the car subsequently used very sparingly on occasional high days and holidays, as and when the sun shone (including the vendors daughter's wedding!). However, included with this Lot is the benefit of all-weather equipment and an indoor fitted fleece car cover.

Offered today with MOT till August 2012, the car presents and drives very well indeed and is worthy of close inspection at this guide price. It comes with all bills and receipts for work carried out and the original engine and wheels.
