DESCRIPTION
- Two former keepers (one for 28 years) and less than 35,000 miles from new
- Factory-built and still fitted with its original Ford 'Kent' 1,600cc crossflow engine, black leather Caterham bucket seats and full 4-point Caterham harnesses
- Classically presented in British Racing Green and Lotus Yellow and fitted with the optional 'Prisoner' alloy wheels
- Taken off the road in September 2009 and laid-up on axle stands with the wheels off for three years, prior to being collected by Paul Matty Sports cars for a mechanical refresh (see Condition Report)
- After 23 years of summer-only use (2016) the car was delivered to Sevens & Classics to carry out a bodywork refurbishment (see Condition Report)

Paul Matty Sports Cars collected the car by trailer in August 2012 and undertook the following work: Replaced top, bottom & heater hoses; OS/F caliper cleaned & freed up; replaces rocker cover gasket; Chassis cleaned up & N/S/|F Rack repaired. New rear tyres fitted;. All discs cleaned & new Bilstein shock absorbers fitted along with full service & MOT. A bodywork refurb was carried out by Sevens & Classics in 2016 including rubbing down front suspension to remove surface rust & flaking powder coating, repainted with black paint, mechanically polishing bodywork to restore the lustre, removing wings to do same. Removing roll-over bar, shot blast & powder coat & refitted. All bonnet catches replaced along with stainless rear wing protectors. Exhaust and exhaust guard polished. Momo steering wheel fitted and horn button relocated to dashboard.

Vehicles can be collected from the Warwickshire Event Centre, CV31 1XN on Sunday 8th December between 10am and 3pm and Monday 9th December between 9am and 1pm.

Due to venue restrictions we need to be clear of the WEC by 1pm on Monday 9th therefore any motor vehicles not collected by this time will be taken to our transport partners storage facility in Northampton for a fee of £175 plus VAT for a standard size vehicle or £275 plus VAT for a large vehicle (transit van/campervan etc.). Storage will be charged at £10 plus VAT per day.
