Introduced in 1989 as a replacement for the 328, the 348 production line ran until 1995, when the 355 was introduced. Late in 1993, after 3 years of production, the 348 was revised with enhanced styling changes and a power lift from 300 to 320bhp from its 3.4 litre V8. At the same time the suspension geometry was revised, which was considered to vastly improve both the handling and ride quality of the car, particularly when coupled with the factory enhanced chassis rigidity. Concurrently, Ferrari also introduced a brand new Spider version.This car is one of only 1022 left hand drive 348 Spiders but is incredibly special in that it has only travelled 3,470kms from new (equivalent to 2,156 miles). Sold new by Ferrari Lille to known Ferrari collector, Monsieur Jean Becquet, it remained with him for just 12 months before passing to another collector who kept the car for 20 years and travelled just 1,200kms in this time. The car was never registered in this period and remained a one-owner car until it was sold to our vendor as the second keeper in 2014.During the current ownership this Ferrari was presented to Ferrari Pozzi Paris for a major service in February 2015 which included cam belts.
