1996 Bentley Brooklands Saloon

The Bentley Brooklands was introduced in 1992 as a replacement for the Bentley Mulsanne and Bentley Eight models. It was intended as a slightly cheaper alternative to the Bentley Turbo R, featuring the same styling, underpinnings and the Rolls-Royce 6.75-litre V8 engine, but without the more powerful model's turbocharger.

Reporting to be in excellent order throughout, we are informed that the V8 engine fires up immediately from cold and soon settles down to an even idle. Putting the gear selector into drive, the take up is immediate but free of snatching. Once on the move, up changes are smooth and quick and it's the same when the auto boxes drops down the cogs. Steering is light but has a good feedback, while the ride is supple and soaks up the bumps easily and without drama.

With only 48500 warranted miles from new, this cars service history also offers confidence, made up of both main dealer and independent specialist, more recently it was cared for by an independent Bentley/Rolls Royce specialist in Lancashire, we are informed that circa £4000 has been spent in the last 12 month on an annual service, new suspension spheres and brake system overhaul and new Avon Tyres all round.

Reporting to drive without fault, this Bentley Brooklands is as nice internally as it is externally with lashings of leather and wood that shouts quality. The wood is in beautiful condition, as are the seat faces and door cards. The carpet is also in very fine order, all switches and gauges are reported to work perfectly.
