1998 Porsche 911 993 C2 Coupe

Often cited by enthusiasts as "the last real Porsche" the 993 straddles the bridge between pure high performance driving thrills, visceral dynamics, and appealing design led solutions to emissions and safety requirements. No previous 911 variant had such high speed cornering ability and stability aided by the use of a widened track and all alloy rear suspension. The six speed manual gearbox not only surpassed the previous four and five-speed gearboxes in usability, but most commentators also found it to be quicker reacting and a smoother gear change, in turn allowing full concentration to be employed on the road ahead rather than concentrating on changing gear.

The last 993 rolled off the production line on the 30th. of March 1998 and resides as part of the Seinfeld collection in America. This, left hand drive, manual C2 993 was manufactured just a few days before, on the 26th. of March,1998 and, obviously was one of the very last cars finished. The car is fitted with lots of factory options including heated sports seats, 17" new cup design wheels, air conditioning, sun roof, oval exhaust pipes, red brake callipers and back painted sport seats with the exterior finished in a special colour of fly yellow, only available on these last edition models. Delivered new to Porsche Zentrum Fulda, Germany, this 993 resided with one owner until it was purchased and exported to the UK in 2002 by the previous owner.

Supplied with its original German registration papers, current UK registration papers, MOT and a certificate of authenticity from Porsche, this last edition 993 is reading a mere 63,000 Kilometres or 39,150 miles. A full service has just been carried out on this vehicle. The 993 was considered one of the great 911s ever built and this last of the line example is worthy of a place in any collection.
