1999 Bentley Continental 'T'

The Bentley Continental 'T' is a rare and special beast, made in Crewe between 1996 and 2002, with only 322 cars produced worldwide each of which cost an eye watering £234,000 when new.

The 'T' differed from the 'R' by a shorter, sportier wheelbase and an increase in BHP from 400 to 420, but more significantly with 650lbs foot torque, the highest of any road car at the time and higher than any F1 car that took part in the 1997 Grand-Prix at the time of introduction!Autocar in Jan 1998 road tested the car saying; ' astonishingly rapid for any coupe, let alone one that weighs the same as five and a half Caterham 7's!'

A 0-60mph time of 5.5 secs, 0-100mph of 14 secs and a terminal speed of 175mph - all from a car weighing 2.5 Tonnes - says it all!

This car is a November 1999 built (but 2000 model year) Continental T that has covered just 22,00 miles from new. It is finished in Sherwood Green with Cotswold beige leather, lined in Ascot Green contrasts. The full factory build sheet with all options accompanies the car, as do all previous MOT's and a very comprehensive service history which is mostly with main dealers. Also included are the original handbooks, tools, stamped service book, service invoices and confirmation that the car was overall runner up at the 2007 Concours at the Brighton and Hove Motor Club annual show.
