2001 BMW Z3 M Coupe

Very much an oddball and all the better for it the Z3 M Coupe follows no model lineage and wasn't replaced when production ceased, but what a wonderful hiccup in the corporate product line this car was. The M Coupé housed the fabulous straight six engine from the M3 in a smaller body based upon the two seat Z3. If you're in the market for a performance car that looks like nothing else, and goes like the clappers, but think a TVR may let you down, then this could be the car for you. Not for the faint hearted. There were 3 models of Z3M Coupe made for the UK market. Until April '99 the model is known as the S50 pre face lift, between April '99 and 2001 it's known as the S50 post face lift, and the most collectable is the car seen here, which was built between 2001 and 2002 and is known as the S54 face lift car.The main distinguishing feature is the engine used. The S50 engined car (321 bhp) was made between 1998 and 2001 utilising motive power from the E36 M3 and the later S54 engined model (325bhp) was manufactured between 2001 and 2002 and adopted the power unit from the E46 M3. Apart from the engine the main differences between models are the drive by wire throttle, DSC system and externally, shadow chrome wheels.Finished in Estoril Blue Metallic with contrasting blue leather interior, we are informed by the vendor, that this particular S54 facelift car has led a very pampered existence having only covered a warranted 57,500 miles from new and is in superb cosmetic and mechanical condition. Under the bonnet both engine oil and engine coolant are clean and fresh and all other fluid levels are as per manufacturer's specification.
