SUMMARY

A rare manual gearbox car that has only covered 29,000 miles

DESCRIPTION

  • Originally supplied through Aston Martin Mayfair who used the car as their demonstrator
  • Finished in Midnight Blue with Charcoal leather interior, this is a desirable manual DB7
  • Aston Martin service history showing nine stamps in the book - the latest in June 2019
  • Showing just 29,000 miles the car is supplied with its handbooks, the V5c and an MOT until June 2020
At the Geneva Motor Show in 1999, Aston Martin introduced the long-awaited Vantage version of their successful DB7. Sporting a Cosworth-designed, 5.9-litre V12 producing a creamy 420bhp, the car was super-quick and was electronically limited to 185mph. The V12 had a serious appetite for air compared to its 6-cylinder predecessor, demanding a larger intake and other modifications to the frontal airflow were made to aid cooling. Other changes included chassis and braking upgrades, to cope with the increased performance and Ian Callum enlarged the grille, added fog lamps and re-styled the valances to give the car a more purposeful look. The Vantage interior leather trim was cut and sewn at a special trim shop at Newport Pagnell, where the carpet and wood veneers were also prepared. The 5.9-litre V12 Vantage Volante, costing over ú100,000 at its launch, remained in production until 2004.

Offered here, is a DB7 Vantage V12 with the desirable manual gearbox supplied new in the UK through Aston Martin Mayfair in 2002 and finished in Midnight Blue with charcoal leather, a walnut dashboard and a Slate Alcantara headlining.

The service book records an Aston Martin main dealer service history with the most recent being carried out in June 2019. Supplied with spare keys and its book pack containing all the relevant literature, this stunning car has now covered just over 29,000 miles from new. MOT tested until June 2020, this desirable manual variant is now hugely collectable and with prices of all DB7s starting to rise, this low mileage Vantage surely ticks the boxes of any enthusiast looking to add to a collection of Aston Martins carrying the fabled DB badge.
