The second generation Vipers had power increased to 450 BHP, improved suspension and better braking. The result was "sledgehammer' performance in a more refined package aided by the use of ABS in 2001. For 2002 production of the second generation run out was celebrated with release of 360 limited edition commemorative "'Final Edition'' models. These models were all finished in red with white stripes, paying tribute to the famous race winning Oreca cars which won the Daytona 24hrs outright in 2000. The Final Edition was described by Jim Julow, Vice President of Dodge Global Brands as the "'high water mark for the Viper Coupe''. The example offered here is number 148 of the 360 Final Editions produced and is believed to be the only example in the UK.
